On the occasion of the centenary of the conquest of the North Pole (1926–2026), the Municipality of Rovato is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the polar flight from Rome to Alaska and to Attilio Caratti, a local figure connected to that remarkable period of exploration.
The exhibition, held at the Salone Pianoforte of the Municipality of Rovato (Via Lamarmora 7), presents one hundred years of history through documentary materials, curated content and references to publications on the subject. Alongside the exhibition, a book edited by Marco Facchetti, Cesare Tonini and Gianluigi Valotti will be presented, contributing to a structured and accessible narrative of the expedition.
The official opening will take place on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM, marking both the inauguration of the exhibition and the presentation of the publication.
In occasione del centenario della conquista del Polo Nord (1926–2026), il Comune di Rovato ospita una mostra dedicata alla trasvolata polare Roma–Alaska e alla figura di Attilio Caratti, concittadino legato a quella straordinaria stagione di esplorazione.
La mostra, allestita presso il Salone Pianoforte del Comune di Rovato (Via Lamarmora 7), ripercorre cento anni di storia attraverso materiali documentali, contenuti curati e riferimenti a pubblicazioni sul tema. In parallelo, sarà presentato il volume a cura di Marco Facchetti, Cesare Tonini e Gianluigi Valotti, contribuendo a costruire una narrazione strutturata e accessibile dell’impresa.
L’inaugurazione ufficiale si terrà lunedì 11 maggio 2026 alle ore 11:00, segnando l’apertura della mostra e la presentazione del volume.
