On April 10, 2026, the Museo Umberto Nobile hosted the event “N1 Norge. Centenary of the Polar Flight” at Palazzo della Mastrodattia, marking 100 years since the historic 1926 airship expedition led by Roald Amundsen, Lincoln Ellsworth and Umberto Nobile.
In the hometown of Umberto Nobile, the director of his museum, Antonio Ventre, organized an event attended by institutions, descendants, experts, and museums, like the Ambassador of Norway, the Consuls of Germany, France and Norway, the directors of the Fram Museum in Oslo and the Polar Museum of Fermo, the CNR, etc.
The program opened with a conference, followed by the presentation of books dedicated to the polar flight, alongside a special philatelic release including commemorative stamps and a custom-designed postmark.
MBVision and Hun in the Sun led the co-design of the event and developed the exhibition concept and visual system that now form the foundation of a traveling project that will expand to other venues, continuing to explore the technical innovation, cultural impact and narrative power of the Norge expedition.
